It was astonishing on how well the Sennheiser headsets sound.Ĭomfort: I bought the Game One (open headset) because I wanted to hear people and things in my house while gaming and I prefer the felt ear cushions. I even plugged my 500p back in for testing with the same videos.

I watched various youtube videos (music, surround sound tests, audio tests, movies) on the PS4 for testing the quality. I am NOT an audiophile, but even I could hear the differences. Sound Quality: Because of the huge improvements in the game sound, I decided to test the headset for non-gaming. They give great results, but I just slightly prefer the custom settings. I tried a few of the Astro preset equalizer settings. I can very accurately pin point footsteps (direction, distance, movement speed, etc.). I am using the Awareness perk on all my classes. On hunted, I hear the waterfall a lot more clearly now. When I am in a lobby, I can now clearly hear the wind, direction of the wind, fire, etc. For example, I normally use the Battery specialist. Game Sound Quality: I was amazed at the sounds that I was hearing with the Sennheiser that I never heard with the Turtle Beach 500p. The mic worked well with the stream settings. I did some research online and found some suggestions to change the mic settings from "Home" to "Stream". At this point, it was working well except friends stated that my mic sounded distorted. I had to restart the PS4 and BO3 to get them working. I made changes to the Mixamp while the PS4 was already on. I forgot to "Sync" my settings so nothing was applied.
My initial problems were my own fault and quickly resolved. I could not get the mic to work and the sound was off.
I initially had problems with this setup.
